Exactly why i posted the picture of the warning bite i got from Narcy on my web site, Merlin. Nancy, i'm glad you are heeding our warnings. I still love Narcy a lot and enjoy just looking and talking to him sometimes, but with a healthy respect for him i can be (more) sure i will keep all my fingers, nose, lips, etc! ;D You will learn new ways to enjoy your little guy now i'm sure. Good luck and never stop learning.

I guess I have been lucky. I only gotten bitten when there was a reason.
When I first got Dragon, she was very aggressive due to the fact that the boys who previously had her abused her. She had had her tale broken off and when it grew back they must have thought it would be cute to pierce the tip for an earring.
Well she bit me when I went to grab her. I had one hand on her tail and the other I was about to grab her neck and she turned her head completely around and bit my finger. We were there at a stand still until I thought to myself that if I let go of her tail she might let go of my finger. It worked. The other time she bit me was because she got upset when I petted a cat. It was after we had already walked off from the cat. I went to pet her and she gently bit me--she just wanted me to know how she felt.
Now Baby just bit me once and it was just recently. She has a back fracture and I have had to give her shots. Well the last one I gave her before I gave her her oral medicine. Well when I went to put the medicine in her mouth she turned and bit me. I didn't blame her but I did call her a little B***h. I couldn't stop myself. Luckily that is the last for now.
Sampson never did bite me. He was only agressive with that mean old nasty male in the mirror. He fought with it until he broke the mirror. He didn't get hurt but he thought he had chased it off from his females for the time being.

Oh...there's always a reason for a bite, at least there have been in all of my "adventures to the ER" . These bites were all my fault because I either wasn't paying attention to the warning signs, or I didn't know what those "signs" were yet. The lip bite I got from complete stupidity on my part, playing "let's slap box the adult male iguana just like I do with my mom's cat". The cat has a blast when we play this game, the iguana, however, didn't think it was too cool. I swear he must have had wings the way he flew through the air at me. P.S. This one wasn't one of my own, he was a shelter resident.

Hey Marie, do you post on AIML? Sean, that dumb move must be one of the reasons you're so smart now!

Heh...sometimes the quickest way to learn is to bleed a little (or a lot in that particular case...LOL)

Hey Marie, do you post on AIML? Actually, Dominick sent me there a week or so ago when I asked for help for Dragon and Baby. Dragon has kidney damage and Baby has a back fracture. I have only been posting to anything since the end of October. Marie
