I think I've got an easier idea. Have you ever seen those "space bags" advertised? the travel bag doesn't need a vacuum, and it's not real big. You just roll it tight and the air leaves via a one-way valve.
BUT... would the rolling damage the dandelions too much and make the entire process moot anyway?

Or, you could buy a ticket on a space shuttle and bring them into the vaccuum of space, then seal the bag!
LMAO!
How far are we going to take this fresh veggie thing?? If I got two weeks out of them, I'd be thrilled!
I'm such a smart-aleck aren't I? But I couldn't resist. ;D

Listen Jersey Boy... You have already admitted to not being able to get Dandelions so watch yourself! lol Seriously though, sometimes dandelions won't even stay fresh an entire week. They're extremely fragile, and since they cost about 3 times as much as collards, they're worth taking care of properly. so yea... maybe I will take buy a ticket on the Space Shuttle to preserve my dandelions! ;D

I think that as well as vacuum sealing the bag in outer space it would also flash freeze them.
How about using water pressure outside of a submarine?

Well, if they get frozen, then you gotta add vitamin B 12 back when you feed them.
