Has anyone used kohlrabi? They have it at the local grocers and it does not look to bad. How did you prepare it?
thanks Mark

Mark,
Kohlrabi is listed on this site's food chart as a staple veggie. Haven't the slightest clue how to prepare it, tho.

I've never used it either Mark. You and Bob can be our guinea pigs and then share the results (?) ;D

Thanks, use my ig with a new food test huh.
I have no clue on this veggie/green is it a few leaves around something like a turnip or is it more like fennel were the thick bulb is just a bunch of stem bases.

Well, I'd volunteer, but I haven't seen any in my local markets. Besides, Thrasher is preggers! She doesn't need any more stress. ;D

Ursula -
Can you provide a photo of it. I have no idea what this "kohlrabi" is? Never even heard of it.
Thanks.

Ursula how do you use it? Shred it, leaves, both? Does it have a bulbus base?

Thanks for the picture! Now I know what it is. I see it in the store often but never thought it was something for the igs. Of course, in the store there aren't any leaves on it. We'll have to give it a try.
