For the past week or so, Kyo's eating has slowed down a little. He is eating about 2/3 to 3/4 of what he was eating before.
Is this normal, seasonal thing? His activity level is the same, but he seems to be going potty every two days, instead of every day.

Eki has done the samething to me. But he'll eat more from my hand when I hold him. He likes being hand fed.

Kyo doesn't trust anything I hold in my hand yet, so handfeeding is out, lol.
I thought that maybe the cooler weather and shorter days has something to do with it. I know that technically his temps and daylight hours don't change, but maybe....

Well I wish you the best luck. Eki is pretty easy going. We don't let him roam yet. Too afraid. Our place isn't small iguana friendly.

Kyo doesn't "roam" yet either; too many other critters in here. We do let him run around our bedroom, but he usually has his leash on.

Its a combination of changes in THE season and changes in HIS season. Its normal for iguanas to have decreasing appetites in the cooler months. Add to that the hormonal changes in a male ig, and you have an iguana who's appetite is FAR below normal. It doesn't sound like anything to worry about, just give his hip a gentle squeeze every once in a while to make sure he's not losing too much weight (being able to feel his hip bones is a sign of some other problem).
