Spirulina is an algae, I believe, with very high amounts of plant proteins. It is a human dietary supplement, but I've been thinking about adding just a little to my Iguana's food, any ideas/thoughts?

I have been using it for a couple of years now on my igs' food. Its an ingredient in the probiotics powder that I give them a couple times a week.

Algaes are usually pretty high in salts, too.
Doing a quick nutritional value check: Dried Spirulina - 257 mg per 15 g serving size Raw Spirulina - 27 mg - 28 g serving size (would work out to about 13.? per 15 g)
If you're thinking raw.fresh - then great, but use moderately. Raw is still higher in sodium than many of the other foods we feed. That's the nature of algae...:-)
