I use the food chart from the Green Iguana Society and it lists the following for parsley: Good source of calcium. Finely chop. Ca:P 2.4:1 , Pro: 3%, Fat: 0.8%, Water: 88%, Fiber: 3.3% OCCASIONAL I usually give my ig one little leaf mixed with his regular greens every other day or so. www.greenigsociety.org/foodchart.htmHope this is helpful. Valerie

It's an occasional food because it's so high in oxalates. I prefer cilantro over the parsley...and the cilantro smells SO good!

Curly or straight is fine. Just keep in mind...both those foods are just an occasional food. They're both high in oxalates which bind calcium.

curly and strait parsley are the same the difference is only that cooks use the strait in recipes that are gonna be cooked but they use the curly as garnish because it is prettier

A quick note -
Cilantro - 0.01 g oxalic acid Parsley - 1.71 g oxalic acid
These are based on 100 g serving sizes. Definitely stick to cilantro if you feed any kind of volume at all.

so in essence there is practically no oxalic acids in cilantro
