Kind of a weird question but how susceptible does anyone think an iguana is to catching a cold from its keeper. I am thinking that the species gap is too wide for most things nor do I think that I have had trouble with this over the 8 years that I have had Bob.
I am just getting over the flu, that was a miserable three days, but am not worried at all about Bob getting it.

Hi Mark-
It's possible enough to cross-infect that you should use standard sickness protocols when you handle your Ig during illness.
Wash hands and arms before and after handling the Ig. Be conscious of touching your mouth or nose during the handling session.
If the Ig is healthy and well cared for, there's little chance of cross-infection. But, like us, if the Ig has a lowered immunity, your illness may just be the thing to push him over the edge.
Respiratory illness would be the most dangerous to the Ig.
Glad you're over that nasty bug! Tis the season....
