Well I spent a ton of money on Orko for basically 60$ in meds, that or he would of gotten better on his own. That doesn't really peeve me because you should gamble with your iguanas life and hope that he gets better. However.... after giving my iguana two different times of antibiotics for like 2 weeks straight anyone who knows anything about antibiotics(not me) will know that Orko was bound to get severe diahreha. Point being is that the vet NEVER warned me that it would happen and I had to come to you guys to find the cure.
Shouldn't the vet have seen that as inevitable and prescribed probacteria?
Just something I've thought about everyonce and awhile and just now decided to post about it.

Well some vets aren't always up-to-date with the use of probioitics. FWIU, Baytril doesn't affect the "good bacteria" like stronger antibiotics could (like Albon) Yucca (the dragon) was on Baytril for long term use, and it wasn't really necessary, but I gave him a bit of non-fat yogurt (I may get shot down on this one, but IMHO, a tiny of bit of dairy isn't going to hurt) off and on. I also received concurrence from their vet. reptilerooms.com/Sections+index-req-viewarticle-artid-49.html

I agree-
Yogurt is an effective way to re-introduce flora into the gut.
It's often used for rehabilitation purposes.
