This is Hannibal Rex he was given to us Saturday by some one who thought they wanted him and then realized it would be too much work for them so here we go again. I keep telling my husband its only temporary till we can find the littl guy/ girl a good home after we fatten him up and he gets some regrowth on his tail. About 4 inches svl missing about half his tail. pics not very good but its all I could do

Poor lil critter. One day there'll be a standard warning label for all animals that need a standard minimum of care...Or at best we could have forms and tests to pass before acquisition. Good luck with Rex and be sure to post pictures of his progress.

It's so tiny! You have a larger pic, but it's not quite as clear looking as the smaller one. The bad thing about photo bucket is that there's is no thumbnail option. That's what I like about Imageshack. It gives you a thumbnail and if anyone wants to look at the bigger picture they just click on it!
P.S...cute leo, too... ;D.

Hannibal is settling in just fine, he eats like a little piggy (no wasted food on him) And it seems his tail is getting ready to start the regrowth. Its healed over and getting a pointy look to it.So as soon as I can get him to stop biting me. I will be looking for a suitable home for him. Probably around December.

Very good news...:-) However...I would wait until around the end of January. This way the Christmas impulses are well past and the ig doesn't end up in a bad situation again...

True, hadnt thought of that. Im not giving him up easy I have been checking out the rescues adoption requirements and I will try to follow their requirements. After trying to save Loki and seeing how bad of shape he was in, I am determined to do my best finding an apropriate home. I wish I could keep him, its just not possible. Iggy and Cleo are not happy about Hannibal being here. They tolerate each other to a point, but him, I think if either had a chance they would bite his cute little head off. thanks for the advice!!!!!
