So I've been thinking lately about just keeping George outside this summer. He would be in his outside cage which has a shaded side and a sun side, The temperatures change every day but its usually about 90 degress shade and 101 degress sun. I think he would love it but I'm worried about predators and night temps. I'm also worried about his socializing, when hes in the house he sees everyone and is used to the noise. Do you guys think its a good idea or just scratch it and do what I've been doing, Out in the morning, Inside during the hottest part of the day and out again for the evening. He sleeps inside at night. Any suggestions would be awesome! -thanks Jennifer

This is a matter of debate...for alll the reasons you listed it being a bad idea. If know several people who do just that, though...me included. Zair has lived outside and I made sure he had human interaction while he was out for the sumer. Make sure the cage is secure, strong and wildlife resistant. If you look in some of the links provided in the members housing idea sticky...you'll see some awesome outside cage ideas.

thanks! I checked them out and they are awesome. I think I'll try it out for a week and see how it works out and give you an update. This probably wont even take place until the end of may/beginning of June but I'll probably have some more questions when the time draws closer.
Thanks Veronica :-D
