Does anyone know the logistics of getting an iguana over seas? Up in the air, thinking of moving from south Florida from Poland..... Nothing seriously, just trying to figure out if we can take Titan with us....? If we do go we aren't going to leave him. just want opinions?

The questions I would have would be for customs on either end. There would be a quarantine period more than likely, but being that animals are strictly cargo options he will be placed with the luggage. The cargo area is not pressurized nor heat and air conditioned. So mind the time of year. Unfortunately I don't have any answers for you, but get your list of questions together so you don't leave anything out. When you find out it would be a great thing to post here so others might know, too if they ever thought of...or needed to...do the same.

Taking any animal across national boundries is going to be a horrendous expensive headache. If they will let you take it into the country at all! You will need health papers from a vet and as V said there is the Customs paperwork on both ends to deal with. Then you will probably find that you have to leave the animal in quarantine (in THEIR care) for weeks at your expense. For the details you will need to contact Customs on both ends. The Polish consolate should be able to give you the necessary infromation for their end of the trip.

Thanks. It's still a very iffy thing for us. We may call and get the information anyway just to have. When we find out we'll post it.
