I couldnt stop them, Iggy and Angus were visiting, being good. I turn my back for one freakin minute. he had her by the neck, the love hold. He mated with my little Iggy pig, she did not look happy. And I dont think he had a clue as to what he was doing. I tried at first to seperate them but he was not letting go, the spray bottle didnt work either. Darn teenagers and their unprotected sex. So if she is to become gravid, how long till then? And no Im not trying to hatch them, 3 is enough ;D

About 60 days on the average. Of course it doesn't take mating to bring that on as you know. As for being teenagers!! This is mating season. They're doing what the season tells them to do. Might want to keep them separated until it's over...;-)

Just for future refrence you might try keeping a small spray bottle of whiskey on hand in order to deter them. Many keepers of large constrictors use that trick to make the snake let go in case of a bite.
