Are you sure that is a male? The face looks very female, and I don't see any protruding jowls or brain bumps. In fact I am almost positive that is a female and she looks pretty plump.

Jen - I'm sure it is a male as he has had to have BOTH (dang...) of his penis' removed. One day he flipped one out and wouldn't put it back...snip snip. Then he did the other one....lol...poor guyl. I have a $700 vasectomy on him. Mine didn't even cost that much....lol...! He's pretty content, hardly ever bites. If he does it's just a little tap. His jolws have recently been getting larger. I just made my 1st post on this issue over the weekend.....thank you for the input!

Wow he sure had me fooled, poor baby I hope my male never does that. That might explain his feminine appearance though. Any idea why he wouldn't/couldn't pull them back in? The side that is showing, is that the affected scale? If the scales is noticeably bigger on one side compared to the other I would get it checked out just to be safe, it could be an abscess.

Jen - thanks for the 'almost' fem comment - you just gave him a complex...lol. He had a falling accident when he was quite young and his back leg movement is not real good. He doesn't tail whip either - which isn't a bad thing. The vet indicated that this might have caused a lack of muscle control and not allowing him to recoil his unit(s). I had him X-rayed and there was no significant damage that could be seen. The spot on his side happened when I had his heat source too close. I put neosporine on it until it healed over and it gets better all the time. All kidding aside, I do appreciate your opinion! Attachments:

Jen - I missed one point - yes the scales on both sides are the same size.
