Raz is a little over 7 years old now (I think) and will occasionally charge at and head bob, but has not really tried any biting less I have banana residue on me or just taken him from the shower, for some reason he feels a little irritated that I put him in there.
This evening he did a short charge at me from the opening of his enclosure as he was scratching at and onto my shirt where held to prevent him from going too far with, I do not know if he was planning to go further with that, he did at one time charge and cling to my leg then bob his head. I'm not sure if he is just showing off. Last thing I want is a charge followed by a big NOM! Though I can't see that happening less I had just finished eating a banana.

Our Iguana, Spunky, does this mostly in the fall and winter. I find that it's usually when it's cooler outside as well.
The fall and winter is the "mating" season for the Iguanas. It's pretty easy for me to tell when Spunky is "in the mood", so I avoid going in the cage or trying to handle him in those situations.
I think the possibility of getting chomped in that situation is pretty good. I think the main reason for the chomp would be to hold you still, especially if you were trying to evade him.
As I said, this only seems to happen here in fall/winter when it's cooler. It's possible that a cool shower might do the opposite for an Iguana as it does for a human!
