To be honest I've never found a problem with keeping juvenile iguanas in adult size enclosures. Both my iguanas were put into large adult size enclosures (7ftx6ftx3.5ft and 6ftx6ftx3.5ft) as soon as they arrived and I've never had a problem. If anything I believe it does wonders for their temperament. And it's never to early to start building for Ur iguana. When u do build Ur enclosure and Ur iguana doesn't seem to sure about it then u can always place the smaller enclosure inside to help him adjust. P.s make sure to move something of the old enclosure into the new one also perhaps a favourite log.
