Well he sure has a nice office setup for a little guy How does he manage to get to the very top where he's sitting? Does he jump into his favorite spot in the office? and how much freedom does he have free roaming? Is it just one room? I'm generally a bit nervous about little guys free roaming because they have a habit of weaseling their way into small spaces when your not looking.

He actually climbs up wall on the back to make it up to his favorite spot. Soon he will be too heavy and will tear it down by doing that but for now that's how he get up there, hah. Hes contained inside one big room and he still hasn't left his office on his own! I took him out earlier and brought him across the room over to my desk, set him down, and 3 minutes later he was on his way up the green pole toward his basking spot. Id say hes a pretty smart lil' dude.

Well, due to the weather cooling down I had to make some changes to my ig's cage. I moved the rack on the top of the cage where he gets his lighting up a little to move him closer to the light for more heat. In doing so, dr greenthumb cut his nose up from being too close to the top of the cage (which is wire mesh). Im still not done working on the cage as he doesnt really have a way to get to the bottom of it without jumping. Dr Greenthumbs had no windows in his pad for a couple weeks now but he still hasn't even walked out of it yet to explore. Though I have taken him out and set him across the room only to have him casually walk right back into his cage and climb towards his basking area I made some more changes and took the whole top rack out and now have a pvc pipe branch for him. Im also running a 100w exo terra heat glow light for him at night. I tried this a month ago when I first got him with some bad results, he seemed very stressed from it. Hopefully he wont be stressed now that he really needs the extra heat, and he has a better place to hide from the light with the fake plants blocking the light on the left side of the cage.

Poor little guy. Another thing to keep an eye on is how hot/cold its getting at you adjust the ramps. I have a heat lamp from Home Depot (I think that's where its from anyway) and that by itself gets so hot I have to keep Gwen at least two feet away from it. I turn it off for her at night and turn on the heater for the room so it stays warm and we both can enjoy sleeping in the dark (she is in my room, good thing I enjoy the heat too! )
