hi, im going to start getting stuff together to build a 6 ft tall 4 ft wide and 2 ft deep home. so i have a few questions.
is mdf safe to use with iggys?? would i have to get the moisture resistant mdf?
could i get a small bush or srub to grow inside as natral food?? if so what are safe for iggys?

All I know about mdf I just looked up on wikipedia- en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Medium-density_fibreboard -and it doesn't seem safe by itself, if you get it seal it very well (there's another issue, I don't remember what would be a safe sealant/stain/paint, perhaps talk to someone at Home Depot or Lowes). I used stained plywood (I don't remember the type) and I have towels on the ramps, linoleum covering on the main big shelf, and a pillow on the top shelf. Linoleum wouldn't be a bad idea. As for growing edible plants in the enclosure, the iguana would dig in the dirt, probably eat some, and leave you with a mess and a dead broken plant. I've thought about it before too but in the end it's going to be: iguana 1, plant 0. -Jenna

If yo go to any of the big box stores they sell 4x8 sheets of masonite that you use in a bathroom. That works great.
