Hi all, hope someone can give some advice,
I have a young iguana ,he/she is almost 9"svl, and 30" total, we think she's about 8-9 months old, and seemed to be doing well, always ate like a hungry dog, and was growing fast,
2 weeks ago she started to really try and dig out of her tank, and when out she would go for the front bay window and scratch to get out,
around the same time she slowed down her eating, and the last week hasn't touched her greens, and would only take 1 or 2 small bits of a strawberry one or two times a day
I've been force feeding her 5ml twice a day now with the MRE food from the vet with a syringe,
went to the vet on thursday past, fecal test was good, xray was clean, vet thinks it might be the season, said she was a male after looking at her back legs and the small bumps down by the vent, we always thought she was a female by her smaller head,
she also has some sore toes, front and back on the same left side, vet didn't know what that was, but gave me some Flamazine Antibiotic for them, but they don't seem to be getting better, she looks to be favoring the front left now,
looks brown and crusty, and the back left has black on it also, at first I thought she injured the 2 back toes and had an old shed around the front left middle finger, but now I don't know what to think,
when we got her Jan 15 2012, we seen she had a toe on the front left that was black and swollen, didn't notice it at first for some reason, but I had to remove it as it was dangling by a sliver of skin, and that looked to heal okay, took her to the vet then to check her, and make sure it was healing okay, vet said no sign of infection or gangrene
any help or suggestions?
thanks very much,
