Yes, in Giant Green Iguanas, the males are much larger than the females.

Males are generally larger than females I know my 2 boys are much bigger than my girls are..but it depends on the care they have received in their life...if not cared for properly, males can be very stunted and small.....Lyn

Isn't it true that region of origin plays a role too? I think I remember hearing that females from one region can be as big or bigger than males from another region.
c'mon Big4 (Tesa, Dom, Lyn, & Veronica) is this true?

I know males are supposed to be larger than females...but I honestly can't say that I've heard or read anything about the demographic regions playing a part in the reversal of the "rule".
I'd personally need to do some research on this and do some asking around.

Well I saw one instance where I knew of someone with a female it (egg layer) and she was as big as my boys...but she had been fed pizza and dog food for a few years thus the extra growth...sooooo...not sure....Lyn
