I know that most reptiles will grow back their teeth, but how long does a single iguana tooth take to grow back, or generally last?
and if he accidentally swallows it, is it hazardous. Just a thought I had.

I <3 google! "The Iguana has teeth already in place behind the existing set ready to come through when the old ones are lost or shed, this is a continual process throughout the Iguanas life, and you may find old teeth on the floor of the Iguanas habitat when cleaning." thats what i got from the internet...heres the link if you want to read more about their teeth...theres an iguana bite on it and its a bit graphic..just in case you have a weak stomach.. homepage.ntlworld.com/steve.woodward/teeth.html

Oh! Well, interesting question. I am going to dentist Hermosa Beach today and I would love to ask him about it. I will get back to you soon. I have also bookmarked this page, so that I don’t lose it. My dentist is very knowledgeable and I am sure he will have the answer.
