Its a perfectly natural reaction. Would YOU want to sleep and eat where you poop? What I do with Zok is to take her, about an hour after the lights come on, turn the water in the bathtub on warm and put her little behind over the drain. you may have to hold your ig there till they get the idea but as soon as they start the poopy dance you should be able to let go. So will they!

When I am away and Zok HAS to go in the cage she goes down to the bottom. You might try leaving a bit of the soiled paper in the bottom and see if you can change her potty place.

When she needs to go she will probably go. Zok will hold it a while but If I am running behind sometimes there is an "accident"!

Nice warm water make them poop. Spyro have a big green cat toalet. I use to put there a warm water, but now she recognize it.I dont need to bother with water.I just put her there and she poops. She climbs out of the toalet and waits. She know, that she ll get after - poop shower.

Bob has also trained himself to go only outside but I found out today that he will only go in one area of the backyard while outside. This lizard is just making it easier and easier for me, I like it.

Rex is the same as Bob. Poops outside in the same place.
He gets up his tree, straddles the same branch and PLOP! Ig Poop bombs hit the ground! LOL
Now, however, being grounded and all, it's newspaper on the kitchen floor for him! LOL

Bob will have to get used to having a tub again in the winter. Just since I have moved now I have been able to take Bob out daily for about two and a half months. This whole southern living thing is great.
