Well I had something new happen yesterday. We had some new folks move in next door and they were outside when I took Zok out for bit of sun. Of course they all flipped over "the giant lizard" and wanted to touch her. Everything was fine and dandy until one girl approached. Zok went NUTS! flipping out and I tell you having a 4 ft ig doing a croc roll on your bare shoulder is NOT fun! The only thing I can think of is the girl was wearing a white blouse with small pink leaf shaped spots. I guess Zok just didn't like the color.
Good grief, The Iguana Fashion Police!
On a good note however one of the women was asking me about getting an iguana for her son,...her 4 1/2 year old son!
Needless to say I scuttled THAT idea very quickly!
And the show Zok was putting on helped reinforce the fact!

That's very interesting Merlin.
I know you know Zok well and it would seem you are correct in thinking it was what the little girl was wearing, what else could it be?
Was the little girl frightened by it all? Did Zok eventually settle down again?
Similar thing happens with Rex, he knows Tammy well and she gives him more love than the rest of us combined. But, if she is wearing a towel on her head (like when she gets out of the shower), he postures and gets very defensive. If she pulls the towel off, he's fine. Silly lizards!
I know that it's not the macaroni and cheese that actually bothers him, just the Kraft kind. LOL He does NOT like that blue box. So, color in the little girls dress may very well be it.
Perhaps Zok had a nightmare that she was being chased by little pink leaf-shaped spots, and suddenly there they were! LOL

Dom these were all grownups (though all younger than ME! : And yes it scared the bejeezus out of her! She thought Zok was attacking ME! The girl tried twice to approach her and the same thing happened both times. The blouse is the only thing I can attribute it too. She's never done anything like that before!

Before Narcy hit his 'ugly' season, we had a friend of ours that always dog sits for us feed Narcy for us while we were out for a weekend. Narcy totally freaked out around him. . .all he had to do was approach the cage, didn't have to talk or anything. Narcy would run like he was terrified around his cage, smashed his nose up running into the walls (to the tune of an $80 vet visit and a week's worth of antibiotics)! We never could figure out why. . .

Vega$ doesn't like leapord spots patterns, bright speckled floral patterns, and red.
Go figure. Noticed this when folks visited.
BTW, she hates tin foil too.

Hmmm...sounds like a similar pattern to what a vet tech might wear. Maybe Zok had a bad experience with an inexperienced vet tech? Audrey sure did recently, I saw how the vet tech handled her, and no ig I've ever seen responds well to being handled that way. Anyway, any time I take her for a ride in my jeep now, she hides under the passenger seat and refuses to come out because she always thinks she's going to the vet. Well...just a theory Sean

I have a pale pink sundress with small darker pink flowers on it. Whenever I wear it around Kyo, he starts the tongue flicking, I am going to eat that mode.
Needless to say, I don't wear it very much...
