Before the lights turn on This works out very well, he's to slow to start jumping round the cage before i get him and his tail whips dont pack quite the punch they did before i had him on my shoulder and turned my head towards him to llok at something and bam, tail whiped right in the face but it didnt hurt becuase he wasnt warmed up yet it did surprise me though no luck poopy training yet, he goes anywhere and everywhere, last night he most of pressed his but against the bars becuase it there was a poop sitting on the floor in the space between the cage wall and the door. but that did give me and idea, i had removed all his paper last night and didnt have any new stuff to put in but the bottoms made to be easily cleaned so i figured it would be ok like that for a day, maybe he likes to only go on paper becuase its going to get removed daily and he doesnt want to mess up his tank im going to try cving half the floor with paper and if he keeps going on it i'll make it smaller till he has a potty corner

That sounds like a good idea. Igs seem to get used to pooping on a particular type of surface. Since the bottom of my igs cage is covered with rubber tile, even when Audrey has the occasional lapse outside the cage, she'll always poop on tile, so its much easier to clean up than if she did it on the carpet. Hercules, on the other hand, is 100% reliable with going to the tub, climbing in, pooping, climbing back out, and going back to his habitat. It took quite a while to get him to that point, but he basically taught himself, I only had to put him in the tub every time he looked like he needed to poop as a little guy. Pretty soon though, he figured out that it was where he was supposed to poop. Hopefully he'll teach Audrey the same skill, afterall, he taught Mercury how to do it. I figure he owes Audrey a lesson of some kind since she has already taught him how to climb up on top of his habitat. ;D

Stick with morning handling. Jolee and i spend our mornings together and he enjoyes it: 6:15am: he gets a bath, poops 6:20am: we take a shower, he hits on his hammock and enjoys the humiddity 6:45am: we get out i warp him in his towl while i dry off, then put his on his jungle gym while i get dressed 7:00am: he sits on my shoulder as i brush my teeth and then comes with me to the kitchen to get our breakfest 7:15am:I spot clean his cage and he plays on his jungle gym 7:25am: he sometimes sit on my shoulder while i pick up my room befor leaving 7:35am: I leave and he settles into his cage This methood works very well for us... and he gets upset for several days if i break it, but allows time varriation on weekends good luck!

Eki is sneaky. we'll catch him pooping or eating but he'll be in the process of it and finish fast and leave the scene of his duty. I've seen him poop only twice. I often find it in the morning when I come over after classes to my bf's. He's been eating more from my hand because he's hungry but he'll still eat his whole pile of food on his log. He likes the food on his log, but hates be watched. But I love watching him.
