Hi Eric. I'm not sure if you mean the exact natural habitat or the "recreation" of one, but here's a link to some information that may be useful to you. Welcome to IZ.

Hi Leeslynn I'm so sorry to hear about your iguana, and can most certainly empathize with the egg issues. I nearly lost my girl last year when she was gravid and the "inept" vet didn't diagnose her properly (or at all for that matter). Her eggs didn't form shells (preovulatory stasis) and would have most certainly taken her life by rupturing inside her had we not removed them surgically. I was just lucky enough to know something was wrong and get her to a good herp vet before it was too late. Unfortunately Dominick is right; it's a simple matter of filling out forms. I do believe they "look" at the website, but there are no mandated qualifications other than the general topic of Green Iguanas. I will inform the ring of the broken links, and let you know if I come up with current contact information. Welcome to IZ!

Hi Kim Glad to have you here. I think ANYTHING is possible with these guys. It's a shame we can't read thier minds. I have a Mali also.....love those little cheeks. ;D How big/old are yours? No agamas here, still wishing for a beardie, I have 6 neurotic cats, 3 neurotic dogs...(one of which recently had a fake pregnancy...the weirdo), 5 lizards, a hamster and 3 male human children who cause ME to be neurotic. ;D Welcome to IZ!

This introduction from a new member was buried in Shannonsiggie's introduction thread. I've moved it here so it can be seen. Hello, I am SO excited I finally got logged in! We have had Larry (aka Larry Bird, Monster man, Larry Berry) for 1 year tomorrow. Someone turned him into the pet store where the hubby works, we had NO idea what to do with him, after reading many iguana books, we are still making things up as we go along. He is a very attractive nice boy. I am the primary caregiver as the person home most of the time, and he has always gotten along fine with me, I believe we are in our first breeding cycle. Last month his food intake dropped off, vet said he was fine. Then suddenly the appetite came back with a venegance, and he began tasting me, for lack of a better word, then trying to nip, he does not like his love sock, he got a good piece of me yesterday. I'm just curious, he doesn't bite my hubby, and since I am the one who feeds and fusses with him most often is this why I am the "Mate"? Oh, another thing, we have several others reptiles also abandoned. Tonight I was helping the hubby with the spiny tail ig named Kimodo, who sits on the other side of the living room from Larry. I was distracted and thought Kimodo was going to make a dash for freedom, he didn't get out but I pulled back and kind of yelped... Larry went into ig from hell mode, he puffed up, started pawing the glass of his house, the dewlap was exteded full sail and he was really nuts! The hubby says he must have thought I was threatened, again is this possible? I am looking forward to talking with everyone on the list, it looks like a great place. We also have in our pet sanctuary 2 malis, a bearded dragon, an agama, rats, lots of rats, ferrets and 2 neurotic dogs. Thanks alot!!!! Kim

Hi Kling/Neil/Lizardman. Would you please decide which ID you want to use so I can delete the unnecessary ones? Thanks
