Three times a day isn't necessary, thought the fresher the better. If you are concerned that your igs water intake isn't sufficient if existant, make sure that his/her food is sprayed down with water. You may also try to mist your ig 3 times or more a day with a mister or spray bottle, but not less than 1 hour before you turn your lights off. I personally have never seen my ig drink, though one of the ones I have at work I see drinking all the time, but that's because I'm constantly in the room with her, so I get to observe. I'm sure that if your ig wasn't getting the proper moisture content there would be obvious signs after 8 months. You may also try juicy non-citrus fruits such as watermelon, strawberries, blackberries, or other fruits with a high moisture content. Happy igging, Clint and Dudley.

Iguanas get most of their water needs from their diet. Some will learn to drink from a bowl. The only time Zok drinks water is when she is gravid and I use the spray bottle to give her a drink. other than that she doesn't touch the stuff. She never drinks from the pan.

Eki loves water! He loves being misted and licking it from the glass walls, his hammock or his food. He actually DUNKS his head into his water bowl and comes up with a long dewlap licking his lips. It's so freaking cute. It does this a few times a week. It bothers me because he's now gotten in a habit of pooping in his water bowl. But I clean it asap as I notice this dirty mess. Now we need two, but he always ignored the other one. We'll see.
So far my ig loves to be misted, and likes to dunk his head. ;D

Bob will have nothing to do with overt liquid water, drinking or bathing, I have had him for 9 years and have only seen him drink once. I have to go out of my way to trick him into getting hydrated. I give water laden treats (juicy fruits such as mellons and grapes, and bread dipped in water) and I pour a glass of water over his greens. At times his food dish will have a centimeter of water sitting in the bottom. This will causes the food to rot faster so you can't leave it in there for more than about 3 hours but Bob finishes it off in less than that time anyway.

Puppy drinks from his water pot sometimes but I oversaturate his food also. He eats about 3 times a day. He also gets misted a few times and more if he doesn't get his bath. I don't have a humidifier tho so I hope the rest is sufficient.

Humidity=moisture ON the ig. Hydration=moisture IN the ig.
Humidity does not give an ig good hydration. It humidifies the air and gives the needed moisture for easier shedding and comfort level for the ig.
Hydration is fluids going into the ig. This will give the liver/kidney functions proper hydration for cleansing toxins from the body.
Misting an igs food is good, using the spray bottle for the ig to drink from is good (Zair drinks like this), some igs do drink, but very rarely have I seen Zair do this either. He has several times in my presence in his 7 years, but not on a regular basis by any means.

Busted!
I have been pouring water over Bob's greens for over a week now such that there is about a 1/4 inch of water in the bottom (his dish is about 45cm x 33 cm x 8cm). Some greens were left over from his afternoon feeding yesterday and sat in there overnight, today they were still crisp as they had been submerged in water the whole time. Bob walked up to his food dish and tried to left one with his toung and got just water, a second atempt with the same result, third, then he just stuck is nose down and STARTED TO DRINK. The whole time I was standing right there watching him at a distance of about 40 centimeters -- his food shelf sits at about mid chest level when standing.
