Thats interesting! It makes sense but I never would have guessed it. I dont own anything with polka dots or floral, but if I did I would test it out.

well, Sancho's doing alright. I've discovered that it might be the pigeons that live outside. You can hear them in my office where his enclosure resides. Although, he seems to be afraid of his enclosure now. I've only just (after an hour or so) managed to get him to relax in my office alone and he actually stayed calm enough to eat for more than 10secs without running out of his enclosure to head for my bedroom. I closed the door to my office and he had no choice but to stay in here with me. I think he's got the idea cause now he's up on his platform basking but, who knows how long this'll last. I swear the people I work with and at the gym are going to think someone was cutting me up with razor blades! lol

Oh I do clip his nails, he was due for a clipping when this all started lol I did my best to keep him (and his claws) off me by using a towel to hold him but when he gets strugglin like that the towel often doesn't stay where I hold it.  Oh well, he's a lot better today so I believe I will attempt a clipping.  |

Tiki did this once for 3 WEEKS!! Never found out why, but was right before he turned into a monster for his first breeding season. Now he only does it when I wear any clothing with an emblem on it! Also sometimes cats or squirrels, or even the SMell of a cat on me..Needless to say he's ripped me up bad with his claws each time! Good Luck!

omg hun i'm so sorry... ben did something like that once, but that was because i had a tydye shirt on.. i got rid of it.. and added a new scar to my list.. X*(.. but i think it could have been a bird.. i hope he gets better

i thought I'd update you all...  Sancho was fine after a weekend of relaxation with me and retraining him to NOT be afraid of his house. He wasn't ok with me going back to work for the first couple days as he would eat while I was home then when I left would go up to his platform and stay there until I got home and was there to monitor him while he ate the rest of his food. Silly creature. He's now back to muchin down his entire plate and having a regular day. Even will roam into the bedroom where he first freaked out and just sit there on top of my hubby when he's napping. I'm glad that's over with, I seriously don't want to go through that again!  He never seizes to find something to make me wonder! Thanks for all your support though...it was very reassuring. |

Excellent update! It's funny how the simplest change in routine can throw them off for sometimes weeks.

Oh well, he's a lot better today so I believe I will attempt a clipping.
