I feed my ig everyday, but lately it seems like he eats whatever I put in his dish. Like I can fill it completly with as much as it can hold, and it will be gone by the time I'm out of school. I know that they say the iguana knows when enough is enough, but is that always true?

Yup, its always true. Another common saying about iguanas is "If he regularly cleans his plate, you're not giving him enough food". You'll be amazed by how much they eat, especially when they're still growing. If you grind up all of his food in a food processor, you'll be able to put more on his dish. But, if its in smaller pieces, he'll also be able to eat more. Maybe its time for a bigger dish.

Jeesh, this is his third dish, and he's only 8 months! His dish is bigger than he is!

Viva.... I have 3 igs ....and STILL get amazed at how much they eat. My oldest one eats salads WAY bigger than I do. ;D And yes, they know...you can't overfeed him.
