Dom,
So sorry to here that Rex has gone missing! Having been the victim of runaways and even an ig-napping once before, I know what you're going through. My heart goes out to you and your grieving family. When Bert used to wander off without permission, I could usually find him by wandering the neighborhood and listening for sneezes - but that only works if you're in a quiet neighborhood.
Please keep us all informed.

Dom have you contacted both the local humane society and animal control and told them that Rex has gone missing. May be worth alerting them and leaving your name and number. I would not be surprized if some little old lady would panic and call animal control if she saw Rex basking in her lawn.
May not want to do this if your community has adopted laws akin to NYC though.
just a thought Mark

Hi Mark- We have indeed contacted local authorities, rescues, animal control and shelters. Being from a very small town and having grown up here, we pretty well know everyone personally. The Police even perform routine "Iguana Patrols" for us and then call to let us know they haven't seen him or heard from anyone. Since Rex ran away last year (still kicking myself over this stupid, stupid mistake ) He is very famous in our town. We are loving (I hope anyway) known as the "Iguana People", having made several presentations at our schools all the kids and most parents know of Rex. I still believe he is hiding in a tree somewhere, snickering at us as he watches us search for him. Last night we had horrific weather and to spite Tornado warnings, we were outside in the rain hoping the weather (he is afraid of thunder and lightening) would drive him to the ground or out in the open. The myriad of food items left out each day go untouched. The Marigolds are all growing nicely now . The search continues! Thanks for your kind thoughts everyone. This is a most difficult time for us. SHAUN: I really apologize for hijacking your thread buddy. Originally I posted about Rex to help you understand the dangers involved in unsupervised outside time. Now, it would seem I have overtaken your thread. Please, forgive me. D--

Really Sorry to here that Dominick I know you and your family are down right now so I will be kind! This brings me back to when I had Mr. Worf out on the porch he tried to get down off that porch many times I had to keep my eyes on him every minute I did not think he could move so fast but he could! So my prayers are with you and I really hope you find him! He is one good-looking guy and I know its like losing a member of your family….
