Hi everyone Good news maybe! I might be getting a house soon and it has a nice sunny window. I want to get some of that UV permeable glass for it, does anyone have some info or a website where I can get that?? I've been looking but I can't seem to find ANYTHING! Right now Tiriki is going out on warm days but she is a grouchy little hag when she can't go out! With winter coming I would like to get her set-up beforehand. Thanks for any info.......I'll post some recent pics soon too.........she's grown about two inches since the last photos...........

good luck, last I knew no glass allwe 100% uv penetration, and most houses built now have up to 85% filtration of light, never mind uv...you best bet is to get the proper basking lamps, it's going to be much cheaper up front, and you'll know that your ig is getting what it needs.

Thanks for the advice, she's got great basking lamps right now, so that's not a problem. I did find a website that makes a low iron glass that claims to allow up to 81 percent uv penetration and I'm going to email them and find out what the uvb permeation percentage is. So far that's all I've got. Thanks for replying!............

When you e-mail them, make sure you tell them that its the 280-320 nano meter range that you are concerned with.

Check with greenhouse suppliers. It is my understanding that there is greenhouse glass available that allows UVB transmission.

Absolutley AWESOME!!Thank you! Great thing is my place of work actually carries Plexiglas products so I can probably special order it from the company directly and get a huge discount..I have already tried calling about 4 different companies that specialize in glass but no luck except with a sister company of Dupont...Again thank you I will post my results monday when I call them....Maybe this is something otheres will be interested in getting too..
