I'm just curious because Herbie looks like she will have two of them. I think they are cool looking. (Thrasher doesn't have one)

Zok had 2 of them at first but during the first breeding season she rubbed them off. She still has a couple of small nubs if those count.

Bob is of one of the almost subspecies that has a smooth nose with a long T-rex shaped head and would have had long tall spikes.
When I got Bob I never even knew there were igs with rostral horns.

I say yes even though he has none now. He rubbed them off while sunning in a ferret cage. He was small enough then to fit in it comfortably, but the gauge wire was still abrasive enough that his rostral horns were damaged beyond growing back...*sigh* They were beautiful...

When Rex was young he had 2 rostral horns but rubbed them off on his cage and they never grew back.

Narcy has two, still good size and intact. his problem is not so much nose rubbing, but running full force into things! Poor thing almost always has a bruised or battered nose and lower jaw (which i am chronically cleaning and tending to keep away infection). If I could only make him understand that this is exactly the attitude that keeps him in his cage. . .

Dang! Narcy is a big fellow to be ramming things! That mental image brings to mind the "bull in the china shop". ;D
If ya'll haven't seen Narcy, you should check out Diane's Iguana Page. (click here)
He's a beauty!

I think Drako has them starting - Is that the little bumps right above his nostrils that seem to be getting bigger??

Unfortunately Rex rubbed his off when he was about a year old. I have noticed that he is beginning to grow one back so I have been very careful with his face. I'd hate to see him lose it again.
