My enclosure is going to be 4 feet wide. I'm putting in a shelf for a basking area. I was planning on 12"- 18" below the lights. The light will rest on a 1/2" mesh top.
Would the MegaRay SB 100W be strong enough to cover the large area of the cage? I was planning on using a 48" fluorescent tube but since the basking shelf would be anchored to one side I'm worried my ig won't get the optimum UV output. What kind of light setup do you guys have?

How tall is the enclosure going to be? The MR SB would be a fine choice.
I use the MR EB kits for all the high-level UVB baskers. The difference in their activity levels and appetites improved so much that it's all I use on the high-level baskers and the rehabs. They really are a superior light...:-)

Yup, the MegaRay will do quite well for you in an enclosure of any large size. Remember, iguanas in the wild usually only bask in the sun for 20-30 minutes at a time...then they go find shade. As long as your ig's basking area provides sufficient UVB (which the MR will do), visible light, and heat...he'll know what to do. Its important for him to have an area he can go to to seek shelter from the rays, so providing good UVB coverage for the entire enclosure is not only unnecessary, but its unhealthy. You're doing great! ;D The 1/2" mesh top won't attenuate UVB much, if at all. Solid choices, Kelsey!

Thanks ;D The enclosure will be 5.5' with plenty of room to add on. You guys have been a great help so far. I just want to make sure I get everything right for my ig before I bring him home. I'm sure he'll be much less stressed if I'm not tampering with everything as he adjusts to his new home and I'll be a lot less stressed not having to buy and re-buy bulbs if I picked the wrong one by mistake!
