I know a lot of people use them, but my question is can they effect an iggy's attitude, they reason why I ask I got one for Squiggy and she's had it for about a week now and her attitude sucks big time...She's very flighty, jumpy, scared, she's just not herself.....Today she went totally and I mean totally ape on me today....I thought I was never going to get her to calm down...she was running around her enclosure like crazy...Like a cat on a hot tin roof, she turn all dark and I mean DARK almost black she scared the daylights out of me...I was so afraid she was going to crack one of her eggs inside her.........
At first I thought it might be my hat I had on so I took it off, that didn't help so I went a changed my shirt It was pale yellow...and that didn't help...she still looked at me like I was so kind of "wild woman" I could see the fear in her eyes....
She wasn't acting like this till I put that MVB in and turned it on.......
So I was wondering if it could be that bulb.....I'm going to take it out and see if there is s any change...Have any of you ever had a problem like this...or am I one of those "one of a kind"
Thanks...............Annie

The only time I have ever seen any aggression from using these lights is normal behavior from igs who have been feeling bad from lack of UVB - and now they feel better. I'm hoping it's just coincidence with Squiggy. It could be that it's simply a new "change" visually in her habitat - or could it create a different shadow than the other source did?

You could try different positioning with the bulb, like Prism saidit may be the way the shadows are casting.
