I have used a plastic storage container with a lid for transporting. Drill holes in the top and sides...not a lot, just enough for ventilation. As long as the outside temps are not below 70F (21.1C) you don't need to worry about heat. www.greenigsociety.org/traveling.htmAbove is the link to the type of container I mean. You can easily add heat packs if it is too cold. Cardboard is also ok...and cheap. I just like the plastic so I can keep an eye on them.

Ursula, I have bought pet taxi's for my gus and gals
Sometimes with Miss Zak, we just wrap her in her baby blanket and carry her.

A cardboard box with 2 litre pop bottles on the bottom. Fill the bottles with hot water and cover them with a towel.

I would becareful doing that if you are the one driving, you never know when she is going to climb up on your head and distract you enough to cause an accident.

Or someone flipping out over him. I've nearly been rear-ended when Zair rode on the back dash.
It is dangerous driving with a lose ig, especially a smaller one. Security is the best way to travel with igs.
