Ok, for those of you fine people who have been running with me on my new ig, then you know about his latest tail problem. I took the advice given to me about picking him up while he's "groggy" and it's working beautifully, he still doesn't trust me, but atlest I'm lowering the stress levels a bit by not chasing him all over the place, though he has escaped from his cage 3 times since while I was cleaning. Today I bought some Betadine, worried that it might sting him a bit, but he didn't seem to notice. I've decided that he isn't going to keep any kind of a dressing on, due to the fact that everything I've put on him has not lasted more than an hour. Though I was wondering if Liquid Band-Aid would harm him, all I have done is applied non-diluted Betadine to the wound and let it dry before putting him down.
I do have one question. Is a black scab (I think it's a scab) a bad thing or is it something most have seen?

Thrasher had one on the tip of her tail that time it was injured, but that's the extent of my experience. Anyone else??

I would not put liquid band-aid on your iguana. Not only could it be harmful to the skin, but also to your ig. If he was to lick it (which is highly possible with these curious animals), it could possibly kill him. Not to mention the strong vapors from this product. I would not recommend this course of treatment. It's better to re-do the bandage each time it falls off.
Keep up the good work. Also, one thing I have noticed in caring for my guys, igs don't have a rapid healing process. So be patient.
