After reading the post about Willie, how often should I request a blood panel screening from the vet?
On Kyo's first screen (in May) everything fell within the "normal" range. Should this be done once a year (if everything is going ok)? or more often than that?
Thanks, Cyndi

I don't know the answer, Cyndi, but it's a good question. Willie has had two now and I'm able to see his improvement. I think they are very valuable when you suspect illness. Why did you have Kyo's done in May? I believe once Will's results come back to normal, I'll have it done at least once more, maybe twice, to make sure he's holding steady. But this is following an illness.

The blood panel should be done once a year with your igs yearly well-check. This gives you something to fall back on over the years to compare with the newest ones done.

Thank you Prism Kyo's was done in May just as a normal visit to a new vet. The vet we had before that still recommended feeding your iguana chicken I knew better than that! He also never even mentioned a blood test or anything. Thanks again, Cyndi
