Willie has been drinking water frequently..in plain sight.
I called his vet to see if that could be a symptom of something. He's going to call me back, but the tech at the front desk is very knowledgeable so we talked for bit. She said that is commonly a symptom of kidney disease or diabetes. She reviewed his blood profile and found no indication of difficulty with his kidneys. She also says he's too young for diabetes. His glucose levels are high, but dropping.
I posted this because I was so happy when I saw Willie do all this drinking, but I see that's not always a good sign. Just been passing it on.

Well Nancy....since his blood panels turned out to be decent, we'll just be thankful that he's hydrating HIMSELF now instead of you having to do it Maybe he just got tired of the syringe! ;D

I think that's it,Tesa. I don't see him lap it up all the time now. There used to be so much pee I had to wipe it up more than once a day. puddles of it. But now he's back to his usual bath routine, pooping and everything else in the tub, like the old days He's eating fairly well. I think he's coming out of season. I don't find any more ejaculate where he used to leave it and his femoral pores seem to be smaller. I know it was premature 'puberty' for him. I guess it lasted about 4 months. He's going for another blood panel tomorrow. I'm hoping for the best. I think his vet will be very pleased when he sees him!
