Perhaps 'm being overparanoid again, but.. Half a centimiter on Icky's tail tip looks 'dried up'... a lot thinner than the rest of it. Yet he still has feeling in that tip, and pulled it away when 've tried to pluck it off, thinking that it might be shed skin.. Should I remove that tip somehow? After 've noticed that, I've looked him over more carefully.. It looks like the shortest toe on one of his paws might be dislocated..? Its swollen at the joint and held very close to the other toes.. does not stick out like the healthy one on other foot. He pulled away when I've poked at it. Something to worry about?

Its difficult to say one way or the other. Any chance you could post some pics so we can see if things look normal or not? ;D

I agree picts would be helpful. The dried tail tip doesn't sound too bad, it is fairly common. In fact Zok has a bit of that going right now due to injuring it. Just watch it and make sure the dry area doesn't spread up the tail. The swollen toe is another matter.

www.anapsid.org/gangrene.htmlwww.greenigsociety.org/quicktips.htm#tailinjurieswww.triangleiguanarescue.com/pugs.htmlThe absolute best thing you could do is take your ig to the vet for the tail. I have dealt with 3 iguanas that had dry gangrene on their tails. This does not go away with antibiotics. Only amputation will save a rotting tail. When I can get to my own pc I will dig you up a picture of an igs tail that has dry gangrene. You will be able to compare, but what I can tell you now of the look...if the tail is dry, brittle and caves in on itself, it is very likely dry gangrene. No other injury looks like it. There's not usually anything that can be done about the toes unless they start to interfere with the neighboring toes, such as one curling over the top of another and the claw digs into the scales and creates a sore. Zair has a toe like this I have to stay on top of with trimming. This could be a first sign of MBD, but is also often just an ig injury from climbing. I just feel best referring you to a good vet to elimate any questions and doubts.
