Well, I wish that I could show you but my computer is anchient and won,t allow me to do so and besides, I just got the loan toget the enclosure. But I can tell you about it if you like. I am getting it from Cages by design and it will be 72"T by 96" L by 48"D it will come with everything that his royal highness will need to be healthy and happy. It will come pree drilled for the lights and the basking shelves and all that I and Jon will need to do is put it together and place big boy inside and see how he likes it. I am sooooo excited about it I just can't wait to see him in his new home! After we see how well it goes with the big boy we are going to purchase a smaller one for the baby girl as well, yu know you can't get for one and not the other she will be so jealous! lol. I will let you know how well it goes and when it will arive.

I can't wait for you to get it. Rex is going to lives vicariously through it!
He's a free roamer though, so I figure I'll just have to leave him that way.
Unless Rambo gets adopted real soon, he'll have to be put in an enclosure. He's starting to free-roam and Rex does NOT like that!
Regards, Dominick

What a huge investment. I'm going through the same thing...using Cages By Design. I think AJ is ready to wring my neck as I've just put my order on hold for a little while. I'm trying to figure out how to get a larger enclosure and still keep it within my means.
Initally I had planned on 72x48x48 with all the trimmings. A luxury home for our Willem. But now I'm thinking of 72 x60x48. maybe even larger after reading about yours. I think I can do this if i use my own lighting and create my own basking ledges. Yoda's Dad posted below about taking pvc pipe and wrapping it with rope for climbing... that should save money over the logs. I have ordered a poster for the back wall of a Tropical Creek. Did you order one.
I'm in complete agreement that our igs deserve all the best we can give them. I'm still trying to figure out how I can do that.
Wishing you the Best of Everything with your new investment. Nancy

Debbie,
One thing is forshure anything by a company like Cages By Design will be beautiful.
Now for the reality check..
You can build a enclosure that will ultimatly be
#1 less expensive
#2 easily expandable
#3 more conforming to your home decor
#4 And made with love ...
for much less than a retail enclosure.
The last thing you want is a huge investment into
a lifelong enclosure that may or may not be exactly what you and you ig will enjoy for years to come,
I am not saying a home bult cage is for everyone but when you strip the prebuilt enclosure down to the basics most are nothing more than a glorified wooden box . Seriously go to your local lumber mart and price 2x2's and malimine (whiteboard) now check out the price of PVC tubing and some decent trim to finish it off.a few fake plants from the dollar store, and add 100-150 for lighting 10 bucks for (screws ect) and throw in 25 bucks for refreshments for you and you friend while you build .
I gaurentee you will still be way under what you will pay for a pre built of smaller dimentions.
Just think if your ig thrives and does grow to its full potential ....... will the enclosure be big enough then or will you be wishing you bought a bigger model.....Think expandable)
JUst my opinion...

Yep. it's gonna be plenty big! The dimensions are 6' tall...8' long...and 4' deep. That ig is gonna be in heaven!! lol She has it all under control. Her cage arrived yesterday and I can't WAIT to see pics once they get it assembled. Cages by Design are WAY out of my league monetarily...but you can bet if I had the money....I'd do the same thing! ;D

I'm going out on a limb and ordering the same size enclosure from Cages by Design that Debbie did. But basically the enclosure is the only thing I'm getting.Willie is fine where he is now (75 gallon tank) and we can take our time getting his new home 'just right'. It would be lovely if I could have Cages by Design set it all up with their beautiful 'furniture' and ledges, but, I know Will will love what we create for him.
