HOW EXCITING! Congratulations! AJ was able to resolve all my concerns so I have placed my order, also. Won't arrive until Christmas, though. He said it would take 3 of us to assemble it. Were you and Jon able to set it up by yourselves? it will be a thrill to see our pictures!

Well folks, I'm a carpenter and I agree that you can make an enclosure for much less money, but not everyone has the time or the skill for that kind of thing.
That's why companies like Cages-By-Design are in business.
I think I prefer the "middle of the road" method. Buy the "glorified" box and decorate it yourself. If you I-search all the components you can customize the cage with really neat and innovative things like shelves and climbing things.
Fortunately for me Rex is a free-roamer, so when he outgrows his current "enclosure" we'll have to move into a bigger house! LOL
Good luck to all you folks with your cages.

I'm with you, Dominick, but my husband and I are geeks when it comes to being handy. I frustrated myself to the point of accepting what CBD had to say. though I questioned them on EVERYTHING and made sure I understood EVERYTHING! I searched the net before committing to CBD for info on shelves and ledges. Couldn't find anything good. Used Google. My wonderful husband is a brainiac and I'm kind of dumb....lots of heart..not too much brain for measuring things, etc, soooooo we were sitting ducks for CBD.
Dear Will, we have 3 golden retrievers and I hope in time they will be buds, but free-roaming is not an option to even theink about now. Willie doesn't seem to freak when they watch him bathe, or if I'm carrying him, so maybe we are making progress.
I was a fool not to ask CBD for a discount. Once the deal is sealied..tough! But I was offered one earlier. Such is life!

Well it is here and it only took us 12 hours to put it together! Iggy was moverd in on Wednesday of this past week. He has not yet quite figured out that he can climb the rocks. lol maybe he will soon. all I can say is I feel that it was well worth the time and the money. It is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Bam-Bam was moved into Iggys old cage and I think that she thinks that she is in heaven! ;D Hope to show it to you all very soon. Debbie and Iggy.

Thanks for your note, Debbie. I still have flutterings in my stomach for going so far overboard financially. I think it will be worth it, too. You and my husband motivated me to go for the 96" model. I was going to go for the 72" one, but hopefully, Willem will live long and well and really enjoy his space. I have asked for a background poster, (Tropical Creek, I think and the same top and floor color as in their catalogue.) which has caused a delay in shipment, but I expect it early Dec. Can't wait to share notes with you. What color did you get?
