from a hard to reach area, like under the fridge, under the book case, behind the bookcase, under the oven, behind the desk? Yup, Vega$ done all that in her different growing phases. Moving the object can be bad -- worry 'bout droppage and bumpage Using a stick can be bad -- worry 'bout pokage. But, Vega$..for some reason, will scoot out of her hiding spot if you aim at her from a safe distance (just enuff for her to feel it) a hair dryer on low setting. She doesn't like that gush of warm air! Funny lizard, eh? Oh, another way, I get her to come out from under the bed (rather than me stretch to reach her) these days...I put her stuffy tuartara in front of her. She bobs and immediately runs out to attack it Just a couple tips that I've used. Des.

I'm not sure of iguanas, but I know that if you are handling a constricting snake and it starts to squeeze and you cant remove it you do one of two things.
1. blow dryer and peel the snake off from tail to head.
2. Run warm water over him or dunk him in warm water.
Just sharing some knowledge.

lol, well, if you mess with big constrictors all the time, you try to keep that kind of stuff on hand. We keep our blow drier next to our bite gloves and crook poles.

OK Merlin- Was that a joke or what? Spray bottle full of alcohol? I understand the cold nature of alcohol, but wouldn't that hurt the creature somehow? Perhaps if they get it in their eyes. No dropping bombs and leaving buddy. We need an explanation.

I expect the spraybottle of alcohol is to spray in our mouths to entice us to make the igs move .......lol LYN

LOL! The spray bottle of alcohol was in regard to dealing with a large constrictor's attack! And you try to get it in their nose and mouth. If you find yourself in the position of needing it hurting the snake is not going to be your main concern.

LOL
The hairdryer thing works on our igs, too. It's an hysterical image - my husband standing just outside the bathroom door, weilding a hair dryer like a six shooter - "Back, demon beasts, back!"
