BUT...they live together in the same cage...a male and a female. They are both under 2, but breeding season is coming up and your old (male) ig may seriously injure his (female) ig while trying to mate.
He probably runs the wooden cage because he is scared. He needs his own cage.

He's still housed with another ig. I'm sorry, but I just really disagree with multiple igs...especially when they are of the opposite sex.

Its not just Prism_wolfs opinion though, its shared by many, usually those who have had experience of igs killing/injuring other igs. This is not what you would want to happen surely?
Prism_wolf was just suggesting whats best for the igs, they need their own space. If they get on and can be let out together whilst supervised this is probably ok, if your prepared and capable of separating them if necessary. But shutting them in a confined space together where they cant be alone if they want to can end in disaster.

As well as mine and of most advanced keepers as well! Kling, Your response was rude. PrismWolf is just concerned about the iguana. I know of many cases where people argued that the igs were just fine together and they "loved each other". Then one day they come home to seriously injured or dead iguanas .

Yes Kling, your response was rude. I will not tolerate bad attitudes on this board. As you know, I have recieved several complaints about your behavior. If you cannot be courteous in your responses, do NOT respond.

Now Neil, you have to understand that people all have their own opinions, but its no reason to get rude about it...please stay focused on the situation and not be rude ...Thanks...Lyn

Neil...that is not my opinion...it is personal experience and the combined personal experiences from advanced owners and true experts alike.
I have been trying very hard to help you with your igs...and the ig you "got rid of". I do know a bit about igs...and as I told you on MSN yesterday...you are still learning. You have been taking a very non-chalante attitude regarding your igs. You have lost them in your home and have said..."Oh...I'll find them later".
Owing an iguana...or any "pet"...needs to be taken more seriously. We have ALL been trying to help you and you have only been partly responsive and argumentative the rest of the time. I really want to see you grow with the proven and pre-tested, tried and true experiences and knowledge we all possess and have gleaned from the Internet.
Use the information we have been giving you. Prove that you are a good iguana caretaker.
