If you are thinking about a kitchen cabinet sized box then you need to stop and step back it is way too small and will be too hard to work into a good design.
Start looking around yard sales with furniture or used furniture shops for a large armoire, wardrobe, or entertainment center. I have heard of a few people that have done this.
If you get anything smaller than 2' deep, 6' tall, and 4' wide you are wasting your money with the size igs you have. Each ig should have no less than this, minimum.
What lighting do you use in all three of your cages?
Plexi is not cheap. Try either clear PVC fabric, or mesh if you are on a tight budget; but mesh is hard to keep at proper temp and humidity in winter.
Think any move though; think about it at all possible angles. This will save a lot of time and money in the long run. I have built more than 8 cages before I got one that I really liked.

Neil, 5-6 feet high is great, but as you've already been told, the length is way too short. Mark has given you good advice, please take it.

naw.....Mark is broke too. (like me) ;D He's trying to show you a cheaper way out. Buying a cabinet that is too small and then adding on will just add extra expense. Like he said.....check out yard sales etc for cheap big cabinets. They would be less expensive than a new cabinet.

Hi Neil-
I agree with the rest. A 5' tall cabinet is great, but 2' wide is too skinny.
My advise mirrors Marks, check yard sales and even folks trash for empty cabinets. Large entertainment centers work well for conversion to enclosures.
Ask anyone you know. Sometimes folks are looking to get rid of furniture, but you just don't know it until you ask.
Either way, you'll have to spend some money to convert it, best to put the money in a larger used cabinet and minimize the conversion costs. With the right cabinet, you only have to modify the door and drill some holes for ventilation.
Let us know how it goes so we can continue to help you with advise and suggestions.
There are many things that make a good enclosure, so don't limit your thinking to only cabinets. Look at everything as a possible enclusre and I believe the solution will come to you.
Good luck!

Neil I am BROKE. I have rent, utilities, car payment, car insurance – I have been in MI which has some of the highest rates in the nation and pay over $2400 a year even with a perfect record --, school books(~$1000), food, coffee, and the like to purchase. I am unable to work during the school year so I have to make it all in the summer. I am a junior at the best undergrad engineering school in the nation (Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute IN www.rose-hulman.edu -- rated #1 by US News & World Reports 5 years in a row) and I am hanging gutters and siding for the summer because I need the money. Everyone here is getting a little frustrated but we are staying nice and giving you good advice, please take it. I will come out and say it, you should think hard about adopting out two of your igs. The time and money needed to keep one ig is immense but three will run you into the ground. You are looking at over $80 a year for UVB lights alone. That is if you take them outside everyday when you can and only replace them annually. Unfortunately pets are luxury items; for exotics (like iguanas) this is even truer. I hope that I am not coming off as attacking you. You are trying to learn about what you need but you need to take a little more time to think and mull over the idea, and I just got home from working in the sun for 8 hours ripping siding off and hanging trim and gutters on a house, I have yet to even take a shower. Neil, I'm sorry, but I agree with Mark. I'm seriously concerned about your igs health, both now and in the future. I think you should adopt out 2 of them and concentrate on providing one the best possible care. That means taking good advice and learning more about their care requirements. You have been on these message boards for quite some time now and should know the answers to most of these questions you ask. I know you care about them, but maybe 3 is just too much to handle.

I was PM'ed this by Kling:
--------
ok maek i'm going a cabent that ia 6 ft tall by 3 ft wide and 4 ft deep is is only till i get money toghter to bild a big biog ange that is 7 ft tall by 5 ft wide and 3 ft deep. how dos that sound b/c it will be better than being in a 30 gallen tank.
--------
First off my name is Mark, your typing, grammar, and spelling are atrocious but at least make sure that you get names right.
This is the best idea I have heard out of you yet. From what I have read you do not want your igs to free roam. That would be the worst thing you could do especially after loosing one under a kitchen cabinet for a few days.
I will make a deal for you. I will make you a cage kit much like mine but 4x4x6 and ship it to you at a fair price. This will include everything but lighting and the actual pipes (I will give you a detailed cut list for them but they are too hard to ship). This way you will have a nice, secure, easy to clean cage that will last a few years for one ig. This will save you money as you won't have to replace it next year because of an overlooked design flaw.
Part of this deal will be you adopting out at least one of your iguanas and agreeing not to take in anymore reptiles until you are better able to keep them.
PM me if you are interested and we can workout cost and payment.
Mark

I think Maek( ) is the resident cage expert with his engineering skills and all. I really don't have much to add, except that for the love of the baby Jesus the word is spelled "B U I L D", not bild.
