I went to Wal-Mart and picked up a whole role of fabric that has all kinds of lizards in a jungle pattern. I then covered the whole back wall of the habitat with this pattern. It is very colorfull and adds alot of jungle effect. I just do not want my iguanas habitat to look like a normal everyday lizard cage. They can climb six feet up on real dead trees and lay in the MANY branches. That is one of the reasons they do not fight.. they can bask in many places and not bother each other . I have to go hunting through the trees just to find them sometimes. It really is a little jungle for them and they love it.

Sounds very cool! You have different UVB tubes for every basking spot? THAT would cost a pretty penny!

I bet the fabric looks nice. I wouldn't be able to use it in Zair's habitat. It would be to difficult to remove for cleaning. Bacteria would build and take over the world! I bet the lighting DOES cost a pretty penny. I think I would have to stagger the purchases for every couple of months...or go with www.lllreptile.com who has pretty reasonable prices all the time. Even then though...jeez...5 igs + 2 bulbs per basking area = about $170 every 6 months! Oof!

Not really it has spread out over the last 5 years or so. And we have very long uvb tubes that are no more then one foot away from many basking spots. This is a large habitate. I could easly double there living space with a few more lights. But because all the lights are up high they all stay up in the branches. If I put more lights to the bottom they could also bask there as well. Just have to replace bulbs once in a while.

How often do you replace the bulbs? It may have been over the last five years...but...hehe...you now have a brood and the bulbs will need replacing occassionally... ;D

We replace the uvb every 6 months. The basking lights we replace when they blow out. Our CHE we have only had a few months and never use it.
