Should I be spraying lenard with a mist squirt bottle. If so, how often? I was also concerend about leaving little dirty looking water spots all over the glass of the tank.

We can't spray Puppy from 8am to 3:00pm cuz we are gone but the first thing my son does when he gets home from school is mists Puppy. When I get home at 5pm I mist Puppy again and this is when I spent my quality time with him. Misting calms him so that I can pick him up without gaping at me. While I hold him my son runs his bath. Puppy is in the bath about 5 minutes before he poops and then we clean and do a refill and he's in for about 15 minutes more. Then I fix his second meal of the day (while my son has his quality time with Puppy) which is saturated with water and liquid vitamins and calcium. He'll get misted maybe one more time and then we wait for him to warm back and dry before turning on his night light.

Use clean water to mist with and you will be fine, but it will still look horrid as Lenard will snort salt water all over. Use a damp spung and just wipe everything down quickly.
I spray Bob's cage before class as I put in his food and then everytime I step into the cage after classes end, total I spray about 30 oz a day. The more water on him and in the air durring a shed the better the skin will come off. With a humidifier you will be able to do this a lot less.
Infact I spray Bob so much I just killed/wore out another spray bottle.

Boy I can attest to more water better shed! During Puppy's first bath I thought I had accidently pulled off a spike as I was palming water over him then petting him, he swam away and there it was in my hand, scared me at first! Puppy shed like crazy when I started misting him and after his first bath.

Eki gets misted as much as possible. He LOVES WATER!! He lifts his head and opens his mouth sometimes or he'll just pose up into the water with his eyes closed. I literally sometimes soak him under his heatlamp. He loves it and sits there wanting more.

I mist my Igs as many times a day as possible. If I walk into their rooms, and they're anywhere near their basking spot - they get misted - they know it too! Sometimes when they see me coming, they'll just head up to their basking spot and stand up tall with their eyes closed waiting for the mister LOL! I also bathe them every day, and mist their food frequently - but I liked Mar's idea about putting the greens in about a 1/4" of water - I'm going to give that one a try tomorrow. I know the humidity in their environment isn't anywhere close to where it should be, so I try to take a lot of extra measures to make sure they're hydrated AND have enough humidity from other sources to shed easily. Leonard may grow to like the misting! A lot of Ig's will actually drink from the mister too! Elvis and Margarita do, but Angel doesn't. Hope this helps! ~Nan P.S. Ig's and Clean Glass are just NOT a feasible combination LOL. Even if you don't mist them, you still have the snalt to deal with. I usually have to clean the windows my Ig's hang out in every other day just for the snalt Given that, the misting really won't add that much more mess to the glass than the snalt already does.

I got a cheap 99cent one from Sally beauty supply. It works great. Spray bottles don't have to be very expensive.

Yup, that 99 cent type is the kind I wore out. Easily found near the tooth brushes and stuff in a large grocery store -- usually in a wire bin near the floor. Great deal when you can get 18 months of service out of one, hope mine lasts until the weekend.
I am moving up to a lawn care pump sprayer because they are so fun to play with and the 8 oz capacity of mine is getting tedious to fill a dozen times a day.
I wonder if you can buy the kind that they have on larger bottles of RoundUp where there is a small hose connecting the bottle and the trigger pump sprayer end?

That would be good for an ig bobs size lol. I can imagine that an 8 oz sprayer would be somewhat annoying to keep filling up all the time.
