Right now Camille is happy with her 55 gallon aquarium. But since she will outgrow it very soon, I am going to build her a wood and mesh cage during Christmas break. I am looking for the dimensions to be 7.5 feet tall, 6 feet wide, and between 2 and 3 feet deep...depending on where I put it in the house. If any of you have pics that might help me find the best design, it would be appreciated. If not, could you point me in the direction of personal sites full of different designs? I've looked at Lord knows how many so far. I've got a pretty good idea right now of what I want...going to have my friend draw it up on autoCAD within the next couple weeks. Thanks.

There are tons of good ideas out there...including on this forum. One of the big things I try to remind people of is the ability to get in in and out of doors and into hallways and such. One you can break down would be ideal...possibly creating 6 panels with some sort of fastener.
I use fasteners on my breakdown enclosure, but not panels. This enclosure just breaks down into two halves. Everything is attached to one side or the other...not both.

Adam... get a copy of James Hatfield's "Green Iguana: The Ultimate Owner's Manual" and check out the enclosure in there. Here's a link to a pic of it: www.iguana.com/pic-habitat.shtmlIt's awesome... and what I'm planning on building for Gil.

Thanks a ton, Steph. That is the best looking enclosure I've ever seen. I appreciate the effort. Thankfully, I have finally decided on what should be the final plans for Camille's enclosure. A buddy of mine is going to draw it up on the computer tomorrow for me, because I am clueless when it comes to drawing on any CAD programs. It's final dimensions will be 6.5 feet tall with another foot at the top for the lighting to sit out of the way, 7 feet long, and 3 feet deep. I'll post pics here when the plans are done being drawn up. Thanks again for that great pic link.

Glad you've got plans in the works. I'm looking forward to watching the progress! I'm asking for Home Depot gift certificates for Christmas so I can get Gil's started! Oh what we do for our babies!
