Another thing to keep in mind as you fight with humidity...
The water content inside the lizard matters a lot more than the water content of the air. Don't fret over the machine if you have a dehydrated ig.

Watch the poop. I know...YUCK...but it has all kinds of clues in it as to the health/hydration of your animal. Along with the dark green, almost black, stuff...there should be lots of white, along with a HUGE puddle of clear fluid.

A rescue I brought in had VERY hard, tarry poop...hardly any liquids of any kind. You can also tell by the lateral fold of skin along the side of the ig. If the line is very pronounced, this is another indication of dehydration. This line runs from the back of the front leg to the rear leag.
