Kyo has never really taken to being held, but yesterday he settled down enough to let me clip all of his nails at the same time! When I was done, he was still calm, so I worked at some spike shed that was a problem. Got all of that done, and he was still ok So I just sat with him for about another hour, just petting him. He was great! Today, I went to get him out, all ready for a fight. He protested a little, came out, explored a little, and then let me hold him for another 30 minutes! I was shocked. Both times it was my decision to put him back, because I had to do something else, not because my hands were sore! What was really amazing, was that today we were not alone in the room. My daughter and her friend had to pet him, and the dog was chasing the cats all over the place. Kyo just laid in my hands, watching it all. He even "tasted" my daughter. I am soooo excited!

Congratulations! I recommend keeping this up every day, to see if kyoto builds up his trust in you. Good luck!

What a rush!!!!! He was always ok with my being in his territory, even investigating when I was working in there, and I could pick him up to move him, but never actually hold him for any length of time. Oh my gosh, we just got our first head bob We are washing drapes and mini blinds this morning, and my husband hung the clean drapes over one of Kyo's windows, waiting till I put up the blinds. Kyo did not like that one bit!!!! Those white sheers just might jump up and get him, ya know! Oh, how funny they are!

It's wonderful when they go to sleep on you, too. Here is a picture of Iggi, when she was about 2, sleeping on my wife.

I know just what you mean. We went out of rown for two days last week - left our adult son to Ig-sit. When we came back, we got stink eye'd for a while. But since Monday, Drako has been a totally lovey, cuddly baby ;D He's been hanging out on my computer desk with me, and even "kissed" my chin The only reason I haven't been keeping him out longer is that the A/C HAS to be on it's over 100 outside. and he needs to get warmed back up. I just can't believe what a good boy he is being - makes me feel like asking him "Who are you, and what did you do with Drako?"

Well, at least Iggi looks comfortable! lol
I know what you mean about the a/c. But today is a perfect ig day. Hi 80's and hi humidity, so we are going outside between rain showers.
