Cage plan sources???

Hi all, well my iggy is growing and i still have the same old cage that is not so great. I am looking for some easy cheap cage plans for my iggy that is big enough to last forever, maybe some pvc plans. My other post is "Is this all ok?" is in the housing section if you need to check it out. Pedro is starting to look like he is to small for this cage i built him a couple of months ago. Depends on what your idea of big enough to last forever is. My adult cage is 4x4 and 6' tall. It works well for my needs and allowing my ig to roam but there are some snobs out there that say an ig can't live in anything under 4x8x6.

Also what is cheap. I can build my soft cages for $150 (4x4x6) to $200 (4x8x6) but I have spent years on the design to get to this point. I have sold a few of my cages, about $300 for a 4x4x6 and $450 for a 6x3x6. And I can build my design in about any size 4x2x4 thru 8x12x6.

The cheapest and easiest frame material is PVC pipe but you start to have a hard time with attaching the walls. Many of these free plans use open plastic mesh to cover the frame but this is not suitable for northern climates or AC in the summer as the mesh won't hold heat or humidity.

Good step by step plans can be purchased at www.lizardcages.com . There are free plans available at many places (including herphabitats.com) but most need to be altered for an adult ig and as they are free they aren't written as well.
