I think it's Iggy Boy who posted a pic and news about a harness he just bought. It's under the supply category.
Looks good to me. Does anyone have any thoughts on this harness or others? I'm eager to take Willie out if it's safe.

I use a dog harness with an ID tag attached to it for Bob but you need a, nearly, full size adult ig for that. There is no sign of damage to his dorsal spikes. I like it but Bob has gotten really used to it. Takeing it off is hard and I have been bitten doing this.
After all that I will also say go with the spring locked hip harness.

Merlin, thank you for directing me to that wonderful thread! There are some great posts in there. I might try to create one this weekend. Also, I like your signature saying very much..we do need magic badly. Wonder is so absent from our lives today. Mar, thank you also for your tips. Willie is still small compared to the other big igs I see on this board. Love 'em. Willie is about 16 months old. Do you think he's big enough?

I also use a hip harness for Drako, and he's about 11 months old. For the main harness part, I used one of those things a person wears around the neck to hang a work ID or whistle - it has a round cord, not the flat ribbon. Then I clip a leash to it.....oh @$!# I'll post a pic ;D The end that you would hang the ID from is the end that I clip to the leash.

Thank you so much! I see exactly what you are describing. I think I kind find those items tomorrow. Will is in for a real treat.
I went to Drako's page and looked at his pics. He is adorable and VERY GREEN! So healthy. I love your huge outdoor cage for him. When you have a minute will you describe how you made it. Do you dare to leave him in it unttended? I wish I didn't worry so much about losing Will. I think all the stories about lost igs on GIS have really gotten to me. It can happen so fast!

Thank you so much! I see exactly what you are describing. I love your huge outdoor cage for him. When you have a minute will you describe how you made it. Do you dare to leave him in it unttended? I forgot to mention I added the black barrel clasp thingy to be able to tighten it at his hips. As for the cage, I do leave him unattended for SHORT periods of time - the cage is very secure and escape-proof. Also, my yard is very tiny, and he is just outside the door, I could hear if any other animals come around. My husband says I spend more time checking on him than anything else ;D The construction was very easy. PVC pipe (and elbow and T connectors) for the frames, and plastic garden fencing (1" squares size) for the 'siding' - I think it also comes in 1/2" squares size if 1" is too big for Will. Each side and the roof is a seperate panel. I used plastic wire 'zip' ties to attach the mesh to the panels, and larger ties to attach the sides and top together. I just attached the mesh to the bottom after the rest was put together, it will have a plywood & linoleum floor soon. Let me know if you need some pics, I can email them to you.
