You betchya! Any water-based sealer is safe to use. Once you follow the drying guide - set the lights up and allow for an additional curing time. The lights will reactivate the curing and fumes. Once this is clear - your ready for the ig...:-)

prism....I contacted that adoption place in NJ you told me about..She finally got back to me today...I'm gonna go ahead and fill out the questionaire and see what happens...
Hello tom, Thank you for your interest in adopting. I have a couple of igs who might be of interest to you. I have a 1-2 year old ig, male I suspect, who is eating quite well and overcoming his rough start to life. Zizzy is socializing quite nicely for an ig his size. In addition, I have a young adult male who arrived at the rescue last night. I am betting he is around 5 years old or less. he is healthy, intact and quite nicely socialized. The only requirement I have is for you to fill out the adoption questionnaire and then we'll arrange for you to come meet the igs. There is no adoption fee. I look forward to hearing from you, Elaine Powers

I really want the youngest i can get how big do they get in 1-2 yrs? My ig is a male and is probably a few months shy of 2 years old. He currently measures 35.5" STL (10.5" SVL). When I got him in August 2006, he was a mere 14" STL.

Good reception on your request. I think that they quit growing quite abit (body wise in length) around the age of 6 and 7 and just kinda pump up. I think!!! I said. If it was me, I would go with the younger one beings it is already socialized real well. I have had my 6 year old for a year now and taming is coming along, but not like I would like it to be. Course now with breeding season, we just kinda correspond. I do all the work and she just watches. My little one is finaly STARTING to come around and I have been at that since September. I wish you luck on your adventure, you'll love it.

I don't know Elaine, but I do know the other founding members - Gail, Meri and Diane. Since they just got the 5 yr old in - and not knowing any history on him - he could start getting into some medical issues...but then again...you can ask what his previous care was like and if they know - and it was decent - he may be a good choice because he already seems pretty calm, which for this time of year is nice to know in a male. The 2 yr. old has a good start it sounds like - and any chance of medical issues will be at a minimum right now. With a good start on socializing it sounds like he still has a little way to go, but it can make the trust that much stronger in the end since you would be the one to complete the process. Really it's up to you. Do you want to deal with a young, healthy 2- yr. old who needs a little trust built yet - or a 5 yr old who is already socialized that seems healthy?
